I'm too in love with my midi skirts at the moment so I thought I would just share with you fashionistas!

Today is carnival and yes, I am at home on my laptop sipping some hot chocolate! Good times! BUT to all that went to carnival, make sure you show me pics of your day out!

Whilst some are in West London dancing to dagger dagger, Tolu (I) is tucked away in her boudoir typing this blog and swaying to this:

LOL (it's the truth - I LOVE ME SOME FRANK)

Sidebar: After singing very loudly, my sister just shouted at me from the bathroom: "Shut-up, girl! You're from London" - HAHA!

Anyway, so I decided to throw an outfit together, I personally feel crop tops and midi skirts go perfectly with my body shape so I rock them together!

So those of you who don't already know, I recently finished a fabulous internship with Warehouse, the women's fashion retailer, who are owned by Aurora Fashions!
I was privileged to work in the Marketing department and became a part of the team that create all the fantastic and creative ideas that come with the Warehouse brand!

I had such a great time there, worked with an amazing team and was given the opportunity to work in the Press office and along with this came helping organise a competition panel day!

Every year, Warehouse "join up with the British Fashion Council to offer fashion graduates a fab opportunity" where an design student will get the chance to create their own collection and for a photography student a the chance to shoot the ACTUAL campaign!

BUT before all this fun can happen we had to narrow it down! These are some images from the day of the students collections, models and photographers that were short-listed. They were all so creative however two could only get through! VERY COMPETITIVE!
All in all i had a great day and gained some amazing and invaluable experience!

There were so many photos that were lush, but i had to narrow it down to this! STAY tuned for another EXCLUSIVE interview with the design student that won the competition! She is so talented and will be having her collection hit Warehouse stores this September!

Yep, this blog post is called Red Velvet, carry on reading to see why! :)

So today, me and my friend decided to go to the Victoria and Albert Museum for a catch up and do lunch too. This was actually my first time having Indian food and I must say it was amazing!

Then my friend decided we should go to a really nice bakery, called the Hummingbird in South Kensington, ( for afters where we bought some lush cupcakes, & after being recommended i chose RED VELVET!

Oh my gosh! This cake was described to taste like heaven IT ACTUALLY DOES! Ha!

So, that's why i named this blog post after the glorious cupcake i ate that day... This is an official ode to the red velvet cupcake... It's beautiful and highly recommended if you are ever passing through South Kensington!

I didn't get to take any pic's of my outfits HOWEVER I will start doing frequent 'Outfit Of the Day' (OOTD) posts for you all very soon!
